12/29/20: Full Moon in Cancer

Spread taken from this post

1. Release: Try to read this card intuitively. Look for any emotions or thoughts that arise as soon as you flip it over.

II-Babaylan / The High Priestess. A powerful femme healer and nurturer. Holding up the sky and between the jaws of the crocodile. She is powerful yoni energy but also might be giving awaay too much of her power taking care of others. I feel like this is telling me to conserve my energy and let go of doing work that does not fulfill what I want to be doing for myself and my chosen people. Don't be swallowed up by others' desires or demands on my time.

Let go of what doesn't serve you. Lift yourself up and cut off the dead weight holding you down. (You know what to do).

2. Heal: A way to nurture yourself

Dalwayan ng Rattan / Two of Wands: A long haired person holding up two sticks with caterpillars crawling on them. Their face is up to the sun, and two shadow hands are reaching down to them to hold their head up. Two snakes on either side- symmetrical. This card seems balanced-- all the elements are here (fire water air earth), nature is in harmony with (hu)man. Return to roots, rebalance. That way I can be more free to live a more attuned life inside and outside the home.

Make plans for the future. Use this winter "break" to get ready for a new year. Take care of my body now so that I can be healthier. Practice my photography now and begin researching for future projects. They will all come to fruition with some rest and recharge, and planning.

3. Seed: New intentions for the coming year

XIX Hanan / The Sun: Joy and light. Being benevolent, sharing gifts with others and being loved/cared for in reciprocal return. Radiating light being with chicken/crow at its back.

I want it all. I want to be centered in my life and purpose, be growing and building with my chosen community. I want a warm home and place that is my own, to be settled and not to be isolated. Seeding the intention of creating that home and also hoping the light of new political winds and a vaccine make it possible to be with others closely again.

4. Flourish: A mantra to see you into 2021

Apat ng Binhi / 4 of Pentacles: This person looks scared or serious, as the pull up roses from the earth, that they've planted. Behind them is a wind god of some sort with their hands on the person's shoulders. He looks weighted down with worry- can he release some of that tension?

Share what you can, when you can. But don't be afraid to keep things for yourself that you need to, to preserve your heart and your time.

5. Message from mama moon: This is always a supportive message

Nakakatanda ng balahibo ng Ibon: Queen of Swords. An elder smokes a pipe from which a cloud bird emerges. They hold wisdom and people seek them out for support and guidance. Don't forget to seek out support when you need it. Don't forget that you can and are also that support for others too.

This is my first time using the Kapwa Tarot, gifted to me by dear KBW. It's a pretty intuitive deck with very powerful imagery. The graphic line work is like linocut and it is amazing to see tarot cards in language(s) of the Philippines. I am very grateful to be able to work with these cards.
